The Irish region of Leinster covers twelve counties

The Leinster region covers the twelve counties of Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow & Dublin.

The Dublin winners will be announced at the All-Ireland Finals event where they will then compete with the winners from the Ulster, Munster, Leinster & Connaught regional finals at main event. The Irish Restaurant Awards 2013 Grand Finals will be held in The Burlington Hotel, Dublin, on 10th June.

Almost 500 restaurant owners and staff celebrated the hard work and achievements of those nominated at the Awards, which saw many well-known owners, chefs and other staff members of Leinster restaurants and hotels turn out to see if they had won one of the prestigious awards.

This year the nominations went online for the first time and they got a spectacular response from the public, nominations doubled and they received over 10,000 votes for Ireland’s favourite restaurants, chefs, gastro-pubs, hotel restaurants and customer service experiences.

In their fifth year, the Irish Restaurant Awards continue to go from strength to strength. Each year, the awards cast a spotlight on the brightest and best players on the Irish restaurant scene.

Food outlets were nominated under the categories of Best Customer Service, Best Gastro Pub, Best Casual Dining, Best Hotel Restaurant, Best Chef, Best Restaurant, Best Wine Experience, Best Kids Size Me, sponsored by Heinz, Engaging With The Gathering, sponsored by Tourism Ireland and Best Just Ask! Menu, sponsored by Bord Bia.

All Regional winners will now compete with the Dublin Winners (to be announced at the finals) for the All Ireland Titles at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2013 Grand Finals in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin on Wednesday 10th June.

3. Menu Judging (10%) All County winners and the Dublin Shortlist in each category are asked to submit a copy of their food menu and wine list for judging.
